Services for Ruby Irene Johnson Hudgins will be at 10 a.m. today at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, with Rev. Woodie Rhymes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Mrs. Hudgins died Monday, May 6, 1996 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Hudgins was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for over 35 years. She was a retired LPN from Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband John C. Hudgins of West Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law: John C. Hudgins, Jr. & wife Delores of Dallas, TX, Bill Hudgins and wife Pat of West Monroe; daughter Gwen Lynch of West Monroe, daughter and son-in-law: Sheri Gross & husband Ron of Bucksport, MA; brothers: Leonard Johnson of Calhoun, Huey Johnson of West Monroe; sisters: Clydell Nelson of Eros, Estelle Modisette (Doane) of West Monroe, Mattie Jean Jones of West Monroe; aunt: Lois Drain of Hattisburg, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve Johnson, Jim Nelson, Max Johnson, Doug Nelson, Tony Jones and Lance Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Lynch and James Sanders.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
