Ruby Lee Crain Thoman

Funeral services for Ms. Ruby Lee Crain Thoman, 84, of Monroe were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 1997 from the Riser & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Interment followed at the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

Ms. Thoman, the daughter of the late Oscar and Cora Beavers Crain, was born in Sikes on December 2, 1912, and died on February 20, 1997 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

She was a retired nurses aide, and was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harl Crain.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Bernard Jr. and Teena Thoman of West Monroe; three sisters, Ruth Hudnall of Grayson, Lillian Monroe of Grayson, and Nelma Perkins of Winnsboro; one sister-in-law, Loried Crain of Grayson; two grandchildren, Michael B. Thoman of Natchez, and Jenny Cora of West Monroe; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Mike Hale, John Robert Monroe, Jim Mohler, Mike Crain, Keith Albritton, and Scott Perkins.
