Services for Ruby Smith Meredith, 89 of Grayson will held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jay Morgan, Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Hebron Cemetery near Sikes.
Mrs. Meredith was born in Sikes on October 05, 1918 to the union of Glover and Mandy Maddox Smith and died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
She was a retired nurses' aide.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Amanda Meredith of Grayson, her grandchildren: Cheryl and Mike Strange, Lyn and Tonyah Meredith, Carmen and Brian Head, her great-grandchildren: Katy Strange, Ethan Meredith and Eli Head, her brother: R.D. Smith of Natchitoches, her sister: Mertie S. Meredith of Columbia and her sisters-in-law: Opal Smith of Atlanta, GA and Aline Smith of Tioga.
Pallbearers will be Lyn Meredith, Brian Head, Tye Ellerbe,
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
