Rufus Arinder Dies Wednesday

Rufus F. Arinder, 82, resident of Jackson died Wednesday at a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Arinder born and reared in Smith County, moved to Jackson 38 years ago. He was a member of Capitol Street Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday from Baldwin Chapel with Rev. Jasper Neel, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating with Rev. Wallace Blackwell assisting.

Burial will be in Pearl River cemetery in Madison county.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. G. Rainey and Mrs. Roy Tingle, both of Jackson; four sons, Delos Arinder and R. B. Arinder, both of Jackson, Clyde Arinder of Wilmington, N. C., and Edgar Arinder of Carlsbad, N. M.; one half-sister, Mrs. Elmo Spice [sic Speights] of Prentiss, one half-brother, Ollie Arinder of Collins; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Active pallbearers are L. H. Spencer, George Rainey, Paul Carter, Cecil Rainey, Arthur Todd, and Hoyt Adcock.
