Rufus H. Upton

SHREVEPORT - Graveside services for Mr. Rufus H. Upton, 82, of Shreveport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday October 20 at the Gardens of Memory in Minden, La. under the direction of Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. The Rev. Tommy Tynes will officiate.

Mr. Upton died Saturday October 17, 1987, at Pierremont Heritage Manor after a short illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport for 42 years and was retired from Anderson Auto Parts. Mr. Upton was born in Arcadia, La. He was Baptist.

He is survived by a daughter, Frances N. Horton of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Ron Horton, David Horton and wife, Terri, and Kenney Horton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Nora Upton of Haughton, La.
