Rufus Mack “Buddy” Searcy, 73 of Brandon, MS, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Buddy was born October 21, 1940 in Brandon, MS to Cephus and Selicia Burnham Searcy. He graduated from Puckett High School and attended Hinds Jr. College. He served in the MS National Guard. Buddy retired as a rural mail carrier with the Postal Service. He was a member of Puckett United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at: 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Puckett United Methodist in Puckett, MS.

Burial will be in Burnham Cemetery

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall MS. 601-847-4401
