Rupert D. Lewis

Funeral services for Rupert D. Lewis, 28, of 9530 Primrose Drive will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Marshall Street chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Lilley, pastor of Barron Road Baptist Church, and the Rev. Charles Hutzler, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church.

Mr. Lewis was killed at 6:58 p.m. Monday in a motorcycle accident on the Pines Road near St. Andrews Circle.

A native of Converse, he was a land surveyor with James Mohr Associates Inc. Mr. Lewis was a Viet Nam war veteran and a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.

Survivors are his widow; one son, David Rupert Lewis of Shreveport; his mother, Maudie Lewis of Shreveport; and one brother, David F. Lewis of Shreveport.

Pallbearers are Asa Curtis, Lynn Ford, Richard Sanders, C. C. Taylor, L. E. Kerr and Bruce Roberts.
