Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Adrienne Ward of Monroe, LA will be 11:00am Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Bro. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home Monroe. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Ward was born August 8, 1935 and passed from this life on September 17, 2018 in Monroe, LA at the age of 83.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary McDonald; and one son, Michael Lee Ward.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert Ward; one son, John Robert Ward and wife, Lori of Monroe; two sisters, Pat Brown of Fort Worth, TX, and Irene Bible of Delhi; one brother, J.D. McDonald of Tyler, TX; six grandchildren, Micah and wife, Ashton, Joshua and wife, Shannon, Riley, Ashley, Brandy and husband, Brian, and Allen and wife, Anne; seven great-grandchildren, Aubri, Alison, Jase, Harper, Hudsyn, Michael and Leah; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Lakeshore Baptist Church Building Fund, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, or a charity of the donor's choice.
