RUTH BOYD

Ruth Boyd, 66, died Saturday at Hinds General Hospital in Jackson.

The funeral service was held today at Brand-Parker Funeral Home, with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The Revs. H. L. Gardner, Ray Thorton and Ralph Brand officiated.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church and a member of Woman's Missionary Auxiliary.

She is survived by her widower, George H. Boyd of Bay Springs; mother, Ebba Bates of Mobile, Ala.; sons, Joe E. Boyd of Brandon, Donald P. Boyd of Pearl; daughters, Georgia Wilkins of Zachery, La., Mary Nell Guest of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, E. C. (Carol) Bates of Mobile, Al.; sisters, Maxine Gerhardt and Mertle Wilson, both of Mobile, Ala.; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy H. Lester, Ed Steele, Arthur Smith, David Ingram, Cleo Shelby and Marion Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were all ministers in attendance.
