IN MEMORY OF MRS. T. J. WHATLEY

On the evening of March 12, 1926, the death angels hovered down in our home and took from us our dear aunt, Mrs. Thomas J. Whatley. It is our loss but heaven's gain. She had been in declining health for more than two years continuing to get worse until the end came. Nothing that was done for her seemed to do her any good.

Mrs. Whatley was 56 years of age Dec. 20, 1925 and was born and reared in this county.

She never united with any church but always said she believed in the Primitive Baptist faith.

Her remains were laid to rest at Bethel cemetery, Rev. T. D. Roberts conducting funeral services. She leaves to mourn her death only one brother, Mr. W. I. Childres, besides a host of relatives and friends.

A p[r]ecious one from us is gone
    A voice we love is still;
A place is vacant in our home
    That never can be filled.

Written by her niece,
MRS. W. E. HOBBS.
