Ruth McCarty

NATCHITOCHES -- Services for Ruth McCarty will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis with the Rev. Doug Cain officiating. Burial will be in Fern Park Cemetery.

Mrs. McCarty, 85, of Natchitoches died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in Natchitoches Parish Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #13. She was a homemaker and a native of Hico. She was a longtimer resident of Natchitoches.

Survivors include one sister, Annie T. McCasland of Shreveport; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Glen Ballard, Jimmy Dillard, Mike McCain, John McCain, Burhl Young and Elton Drumwright.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
