Ruth Dillehay Erwin

Mrs. Ruth Dillehay Erwin, 83, resident of Neeley Hollow Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Williamson Medical Center.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. David McGregor and the Rev. Eugene Barrett officiating. Burial will be in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Ralph Dillehay and Myrtle Dooley Dillehay. She was married to J. B. Erwin who preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2002. Mrs. Erwin was a member of the McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Cumberland Presbyterian Women and the Mynders Community Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Judy (Frank) Watson of Columbia and Mrs. Sherry (David) Graham of Mt. Juliet; one son, Dean (Joanne) Erwin of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Heusing of Springfield, Ill.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Houston McCandless, Alan Foster, J. W. Foster, Robert Moore, Gary Montgomery, Ben Haynes, Pat G. Troope, Roger Toombs, Charles Dillehay and Tony Sowell.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Gerald Martin, Monroe Lovell, Allen Fitzgerald, nephews and cousins.
