MRS. STATHAM BEING MOURNED AT AGE OF 58
Last Services Said At 3 Sunday For Highly Respected McComb Matron
Funeral services for Mrs. Cleavy Ruth Statham, beloved 58-year-old matron of McComb, were said Sunday afternoon at three in the presence of grief-stricken family, other relatives and friends.
Last rites were said from East McComb Baptist Church with Rev. E. C. Edwards, pastor, officiating, and Messrs. C. W. Jones, Jr., Benton and Paul Crawford, Johnny Johnson, Hallie Barber and George Bradshaw serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Statham passed away at 1:45 Saturday afternoon.
Survivors Listed
She leaves three sons, Richard L., William B. and Harold H. Statham, all of McComb; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Hales, McComb; a brother, John Henry Johnson, Minden, La.; four sisters, Mrs. Obe Bradshaw, Paducah, Ky.; Mrs. Bob Johnson, Kingsville, Tex.; Mrs. W. P. Crawford and Mrs. C. W. Jones, both of McComb; six grandchildren and many other relatives.
Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery with Catchings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
