FLORENCE - Ruth J. Moudy died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 55.
Mrs. Moudy was a former resident of Port Gibson and had lived in Florence for 20 years. She retired as manager of Hill City Oil. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Moudy of Florence; a son, Chris Baker of Jackson; two stepsons, Troy Moudy of Carthage and Todd Moudy of Ridgeland; three brothers, Albert Jones and William Crum, both of Tucson, Ariz., and David Jones of Vicksburg; one sister, Mona Goff of Vicksburg; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with the Rev. Jim Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Emmett Kelly, Vernon Loyd, Jeremy White, Nathan Jones, Andy Morgan and David Oakes.
