Ruth B. Miller
Ruth Blue Miller, 93, died Sept. 21 at the home of her grandson in Louisville.
Services were held Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Carl Grubbs officiating. Burial was held in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Porter Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Miller was born April 1, 1903 in Louisiana. She was a retired school teacher and homemaker. She graduated from Whitworth College and Millsaps College. Mrs. Miller was a very active member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Fortnightly Club and active in many civic activities over the years. She was the daughter of the late Rev. John Franklin McClellan, a Methodist minister, who served Winston County for many years in the 1800's.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Charles Blue of Madison; her three sisters, Clara Johnson of Meridian, Ruby Hutto of Washington, D.C. and Bernice Poole of Trinity, Ala.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Louisville.
