LEE, RUTH MOORE

Died 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 1990, at St. James Place. She was 86, a native of Monroe and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired Quachita Parish schoolteacher. Visiting at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. John Mabray and the Rev. Dr. Dan F. Goodwin. Burial in Mulhearn Memorial Park.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Lee and James Randall Goodwin Sr., Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, James Randall Goodwin Jr. and Lee Ann Goodwin, both of San Francisco, Calif., Lynn and Garland Goodwin, both of Baton Rouge; a sister, Katie Mae Zoll, Monroe; two brothers, O.O.Moore, Alexandria, and James A. Moore, Monroe; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Culbert Lee; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Moore.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge, and a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Monroe, Fort Miro Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Louise L. McGuire Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and several professional organizations. She was a graduate of Northeast State University and received a master's degree in education.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, Monroe, First Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge, or to a charity.
