Ruth O Bishop

Ruth Ingnette Omundson Bishop went to be with the Lord August 14, 2011. Ruth was born July 25, 1917 in Pennington County, Minnesota to the late Oscar & Inga Omundson.
Ruth married Ernest Bishop on July 22, 1950 and they were married for 51 years until his death. Ruth was a school teacher and had various other jobs. Ruth taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of Olive Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Bishop and her siblings, Alice, Lawrence, William, Lindley and Ardyce.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Joe) Price of Clinton, MS and Linda Amore of Pace, FL; six grandchildren, Chris (Courtney) Amore of Pace, FL, Richard (Sophie) Amore of Burlington, VT, Kim (Ryan) Hicks of Pace, FL, Kristy (Evertt) McCullough of Soldotna, Alaska; Amy (Jeremy) Bandre of Columbus, MS and Joanna (Stephen) Bradford of Pensacola, FL; 13 great grandchildren; two siblings, Kenneth Omundson and Evelyn Neufeld of Minnesota.
Funeral services will be Tuesday August 16, 2011 at 11 AM at Olive Baptist Church with Brother Jerry Passmore and Brother Eugene Steel officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the service hour.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Naomi Sunday School Class at Olive Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Interment will be at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery.
