Ruth Wimberley
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Marshall Wimberley, 99, of Winnsboro will be 2pm Sunday at Life Church with the Revs. Kevin Bates and George Bates officiating. Interment will be at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home Winnsboro.
Mrs. Wimberley was born on September 28, 1910 in the Lone Pine Community near Crowville and died on Thursday September 2, 2010 at her residence.
She was a homemaker, a resident of Franklin Parish and a member of Life Church.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Louis Marshall and second husband Hillard Wimberley also by her parents William and Ida Leonora Rolen Parker, four brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughters Johnnie Sorey of Rayville and Audrey Tucker of Winnsboro; sons James Marshall and Billy Marshall both of Crowville; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, a host of neices and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Dailey, Phillip Douget, Robert Firnberg, Bradley Marshall, Jay Marshall, John Sadler, Gordon Sorey and Kyle Takewell.
Friends may call for visitation on Saturday after 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.
