Ruth Paula Kelly Pettit
July 29, 1918 - July 22, 2015

Ruth Paula Kelly Pettit (nee Riss) 96, of Naples, FL, formerly of Hot Springs, AR, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2015. Ruth was born July 29, 1918 in Streator, IL, the daughter of Harold Lewis Riss and Pearl Bliss Riss.

She is survived by her nephews, Gary (Marsha) Riss of Marco Island, FL and Gregory (Sarah) Riss of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by step-children Johnna Lamb and Glen Kelly, great-nephews, and step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold L. Riss, Jr., her first husband, Samuel Kelly and her second husband, Harry Pettit.

Ruth and her first husband, Samuel lived in Venezuela until their retirement in 1959. They then moved to Hot Springs, AR, where they led a very active golfing and social life. In 2012, Ruth moved to Naples, FL to be near her nephew Gary and his wife.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs, AR.
