CLINTON -- S.J. “Jimmy” Downs, 90, a retired inspector, died of pneumonia Tuesday in St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospita[l].
Services were Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
He had been an inspector for Texas Eastern Pipeline, Miachel Baker, Brown & Root and was a former foreman for Deviney Construction Co. He was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Loraine; daughters, Theresa Moore of Jackson and Peggy Lowther of Clinton; brother, Jesse Downs of Jackson; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
