Sam B. Anderson, 63, of Smackover, died in an El Dorado hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Smackover.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Camden under the direction of the Camden Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state in the [illegible].
Mr. Anderson was born and raised in Ouachita County and was a Master Mason, and a welder for the last 15 years in the Smackover area.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Mervin Anderson of the home; two sons, Sam E. Anderson of Smackover and Martin H. Anderson of Crossett; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Witherington of El Dorado and Mrs. Windy Joiner of Shreveport; one brother, C. T. “Bill” Anderson of Camden; five sisters, Mrs. Inez Crane, Mrs. Faye Phillips and Mrs. Hester Merritt, all of Camden, Mrs. Mae Looney of Bastrop and Mrs. Floye Burton of Little Rock, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
