Sam Mobley, 61, Dies in Hospital

Sam Mobley, 61, died Thursday in an Alexandria hospital. He was a resident of Pineville and a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ophelia Mobley of Pineville; a son, James Mobley of Geismer; six daughters, Mrs. Ambler Warner, Mrs. Hazel Sampson, Mrs. Ethel Holt, all of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Helen Ladd and Mrs. Gracie Newton, both of Colfax, Mrs. Patsy Harrison of Pineville; two brothers, Earl Mobley of Houston, Homer Mobley of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hollis and Mrs. Blanche Mobley, both of Houston, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today at Ball Pentecostal church with Rev. Ellis Maxwell and Sister Youngblood officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery under direction of First National Funeral Home.
