REV. SAMMY V. CHISOLM, JR.

Funeral services for Rev. Sammy V. Chisolm, Jr., 42, of Lucedale, are being held today, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, where he was pastor.

Rev. Chisolm died May 5, 1995 in Mobile County of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was a Baptist Minister, having served at Shady Grove for some five years.

He attended Clarke College, Wiliam Carey College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to Shady grove, he had pastored Phalti Baptist Church in Mt. Olive; Oakvale Baptist Church in Oakvale; and Canyon Ferry Road Baptist Church in East Helena, Montana.

Rev. Chisolm is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Chisolm of Lucedale; a daughter, Staci Chisolm Taylor and son-in-law, William Taylor, of Lucedale; his mother Maxine Arender Chisolm of Jackson; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Smith Whitehead of Prentiss.

Also surviving are three sisters, Joyce Chisolm Dilmore and Faye Chisolm, both of Jackson and Judy Chisolm Sanders of Ridgeland.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Cliff Estes, Rev. Danny Berry and Rev. Larry Havard. Interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery, with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Deacons of Shady Grove will serve as pallbearers.
