Samuel B. Woodward
Funeral services for Samuel B. Woodward, 79, of Kelly were held at 2 p.m.
Monday at Riser and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia with the Rev. Larry
Adkins and Dr. W.M. Causey officiating. Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery
near Clarks.
Mr. Woodward died Saturday at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania
after a lengthy illness. He was a retired employee at the Cotton Belt Railroad
in Texas.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Urshal Woodward of Kelly; one
son, C.W. Woodward of Guymon, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Tolbert of
Urania, Mrs. Loraine McCaskle [sic Lorene McCaskill] of Monroe and Mrs. Juanita May of West Monroe;
four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Luna Gore,
Clyde Pauley, Elbert Lee Pauley, Slim Hodges, Maurice Hargrove and P.D.
Whitten.
