FORT WORTH - Samuel C. Sample, 78, a retired railroad switchman, died Thursday.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Chapel.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sample worked for Texas & Pacific Railroad for 38 years and also worked for Golden Gloves for many years.
He was a 50-year member of Arlington Heights Christian Church and a member of Masonic Lodge 148.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sample.
Survivors: Two sons, H. Alan Sample and Samuel Claude Sample Jr., both of Fort Worth; sister, Maridel Sample Collier of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, Jody Sample, Falan Sample, Tristan Sample, Christopher Sample, Judith Sample and Ramsey Sample, all of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Melody Sample of Fort Worth; four nieces; and two nephews.
