Samuel “Bud” Jones
Samuel C. “Bud” Jones, 87, of Yazoo City died Friday October 7, 2016 at The Martha Coker Green Houses. He was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church and a Supervisor with Gulf Oil Chemical,. He also served as a Sargent in the U.S. Army.
Survivors are his daughters; Laura (Greg) Mayo of Edmond, OK & Becky Ann (Scott) Towne of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, sons; Glenn (Sarah) Jones of Baton Rouge, LA,& Samuel Lynn (Kay Lynn) of Clinton, MS, 9 grandchildren, & 3 great grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Jones, son; David Mark Jones, brothers Emette A. Jones. M.D. Jones, Eslie Jones & Edward Jones, sisters; Maxine Jones, Ethel Alexander & Clara Mae Gadie, and a great grandchild Jason Paul Ross.
Visitation will be Sunday October 9 at Stricklin-King Funeral Home 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. And Monday October 10 10:00 A.M. Until the 11:00 A.M. Service at Short Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Hutto will officiate. Internent will follow in Short Creek Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are Jason Ross, Bryan Ross, Austin Jones, Aaron Nunn, Andrew Nunn, & Wyatt Jones.
