SAMUEL EDWARD LEWIS

Funeral services for Samuel Edward Lewis, 41, GM-1C of the U.S. Navy, stationed on the U.S.S. Sabine, Jacksonville, Fla., will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., in Virginia Beach, Va.

Lewis, a career Navy man and former resident of Antioch Community, was killed Saturday night in Jacksonville when he was hit by a car as we walking along 103rd St.

A graduate of Ellisville High School, Lewis had 19 years service in the Navy and was due to retire next year.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Gladys M. Lewis, Norfolk, Va.; five brothers, H. T. Lewis, Chicago; R. D. Lewis, Route 1, Laurel; Bilbo Lewis, Mobile, W. B. Lewis, Route 4, Laurel, and Lavern Lewis, Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Ishee, Route 1, Laurel; Mrs. Samuel Hobson and Mrs. Leslie Robertson, Route 4, Laurel.
