S. O. Henry

COLUMBIA (Special) -- Funeral services for S. O. Henry, 58, of Columbia were held at 10:30 a.m. today.

Services were at the First Baptist Church here, with the Revs. Jimmie Bolton and Virgil Jones officiating. Burial was in the Columbia Cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Henry died in a Columbia hospital Tuesday after a brief illness.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Cleo Henry of Columbia; one son, Sam O. Henry III of West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. William J. Hardy of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Waylon McBride of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Don Greer, Jack Lawrence, Harry Bush, J. W. McKee, Jim Turner, Smitty Walker, Peyton Coats and Eddie Graham.

The family requested that any memorials be made in the form of donations to the building fund of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
