SARA MCKNEELY CRANE
BATON ROUGE -- Sara McKneely Crane, 75, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at her home.
She was a native of Tangipahoa Parish. She was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University
and Tulane University. She was a Sunday School teacher and director at First Baptist Church and
Goodwood Baptist Church. She was also a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James M. “Jim” Crane of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mary Anne
Crane Blackburn of Winchester, Ky.; one son, James Hewitt Crane of Lafayette; and seven
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wall Hewitt McKneely and Winnie Strickland
McKneely; two brothers, Harry McKneely Sr. and William Thomas “Billy” McKneely.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Baton Rouge, from 6 to 9 p.m.
and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10. The Rev. Don Pucik and the Rev. Jerry Ratcliff
will conduct the service. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. at Tangipahoa Cemetery in
Tangipahoa.
