Dimmitt Rites Set For Mrs. Jordan
DIMMITT, Sept. 17 (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. W. J. Jordan, 81, longtime resident of Dimmitt, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church.
The Rev. George E. Ray, pastor, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. M. H. Sharp.
Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Dennis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jordan, who was born March 5, 1876, and lived in Dimmitt 32 years, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Roy, Austin; Mark, Los Angeles; and Wesley, Seattle; three daughters, Mrs. Earl May, Sudan; Mrs. Beal Alley, Dimmitt; and Mrs. Howard Reynolds, Kenneiwrick [sic Kennewick], Wash.; a brother, E. A. Ellis, Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Molly Ladd, Jackson; and Mrs. Ophelia Scott, Carthage, Miss.; and 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
