Funeral Service for Mrs. Bullock Is Held Monday

Mrs. Sarah Ann Bullock, widow of the late J. E. Bullock of Steep Hollow, passed away at a local hospital on Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. She was born in Tyler county on May 3, 1861, and with her family moved to Brazos county when a child of nine years.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at three o'clock at the Steep Hollow Baptist church of which she was a member. Rev. C. E. Bullock of Normangee officiated, assisted by Rev. Milton Maloney, pastor of Saints Rest Baptist church, and Rev. W. J. McDaniel, pastor of the College Avenue Baptist church of Bryan. Burial was in Steep Hollow cemetery under the direction of Bruce Funeral Home.

A quartet composed of Mrs. W. J. McDaniel, Sam Bullock, Guy Sims and I. A. Taylor sang ``Rock of Ages'', ``What a Friend We Have in Jesus'', and ``Abide With Me'', accompanied by Mrs. Durwood Thompson.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. H. Cargill of Pasadena, Mesdames Joe Bond, Hardy Weedon, Brooks Beal, all of Bryan; one step-daughter, Mrs. Berry Risinger of Bryan; four sons, A. M. and Chas. Heartsfield of Bryan, Elmer and Amsey Bullock of Bryan; two step-sons, Tolbert Bullock of Houston and Walter Bullock of Bryan and one brother, C. M. Risinger. Also twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robert Jones, Jack Jones, Jess Conlee, Geo. Carrill, C. P. Powers and Mit Weedon.
