Mrs. Hensley

MARSHALL - Mrs. Sarah Bryan Hensley, 71, of 505 North Grove Street, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday in Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport after a few days illness.

Funeral services are to be held at 10 a.m. today at the Colonia Chapel, Sullivan Funeral Home.

The Rev. Marion M. Harris is to conduct the rites and a second service is to be held at 2:30 p.m. at Silver Lake Baptist Church. Burial is to be in Silver Lake Cemetery.

A native of Fordoche, La., she was the daughter of Holley W. Elliott and Mrs. Geneva Elliott. She attended the Silver Lake School in Van Zandt County. She formerly lived at Grand Saline and Hawkins and was married in 1914 to Thomas Jefferson Hensley who died on December 24, 1957. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall.

Her survivors include three sons, Shelton Hensley, Marshall, Robert Hensley, San Antonio, and Donald Hensley, Lone Star; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson Grimes, Lufkin, and Mrs. Bill Vickery, San Antonio; one brother, Holley H. Elliott, Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Bill Slane, Mrs. Herbert Logan, and Mrs. Robert Blair, all of Dallas; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Hensley, Former County Resident, Dies

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Bryan Hensley, 71, of Marshall were held Saturday at the Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall with burial at the Silver Lake Cemetery in Van Zandt County.

Mrs. Hensley, a former resident of Hawkins and Grand Saline, died last Thursday in a Shreveport hospital after a few days illness.

Survivors include three sons, two daughters, one brother, three sisters and 13 grandchildren.
