MRS. SARAH E. McCARTY

WAYNESBORO, Miss. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth McCarty, 91, Rt. 3, Waynesboro, Little Rock Community, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Big Rock Assembly of God Church. The Revs. William Frazier, Oscar Mozingo and William Mills officiated with burial in White House Cemetery, Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro in charge.

Mrs. McCarty died Friday night at her home after a long illness.

Native of Choctaw County, Ala., she had been living in Little Rock Community on Highway 63 since a child, having come to Wayne County with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas McMichael. She was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church, Wayne County.

Survivors include three sons: William Thomas McCarty; Oscar McCarty, and Albert McCarty, all of Waynesboro; three daughters: Mrs. Polly Wise, Mrs. Susie Lassiter, and Mrs. Bessie Holifield, all of Waynesboro; three brothers, John McMichael, Jack McMichael and Jessie L. McMichael, and three sisters: Mrs. Emma Clark, Mrs. Linnie Aler Gardner, and Mrs. Lelia Davis, all of Waynesboro; 31 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
