McCARTY

Miss Sarah Helen McCarty, age 88 years, on Friday, August 9, 2002 at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. A resident of Harmony Community of Clarke County. Survivors: two sisters: Mrs. Mary Beverly McCarty Walker and Mrs. Ruth McCarty Kean both of Hattiesburg, MS; several nieces and nephews. Miss McCarty was preceded in death by: her parents: William Allen and Beverly McCarty. She was Executive Secretary for more than 40 years for Entergy Corps of New Orleans, LA. She was an active member of McGowan Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a past board member and treasurer of the church. She was a past Governor of Pilot International of the State of Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held at McGowan Chapel United Methodist Church, Quitman, MS on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. George Pugh - officiating. Visitation after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Church. Interment Church Cemetery.

Sterling Kean of New Orleans, TX, Alan McCarty of Anniston, AL, John McCarty of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael McCarty of Little Rock, AR, Daniel McCarty of Aspen, CO and James McCarty of Belton, TX.
