Sarah Mae Jackson
Sarah Mae Jackson, 71, of the Oxford community in Gloster, died June 3, 2005, at the Methodist Speciality Care Center in Flowood.
Visitation at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster continues today at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. services at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Revs. Joe Jackson and Robert Toney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jackson was born Jan. 23, 1934, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Robert Brewer Short and Mable Marie Aaron Short Sterling.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Monette Jackson and one infant son.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Leroy and Irene Jackson of Denham Springs, La., and Samuel Monette and Susan Jackson of Madison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mickey Jackson Hollingsworth and husband Wayne of Gloster, and Edna Jackson Murray and husband Travis of Crosby; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Terry Short of Gloster; and two sisters, Rose Marie Toler and Fannie Elizabeth Ervin, both of Gloster.
