Mrs. W. T. Traxler Dies At Pelahatchie, Rites Set Wednesday

Mrs. Savannah Traxler, aged 74, of Pelahatchie, Route 4, passed away at the family residence at three p.m. Tuesday after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Concord Baptist church with Rev. Dan Moulder of Lorena and the Rev. Hegwood of Morton officiating. Remains will lie in state at family residence near Pelahatchie until the funeral hour. Interment will be made in the Concord cemetery with Baldwin funeral home of Jackson in charge.

Survivors include her husband, William T. Traxler of Pelahatchie, one son, Roy Traxler, of Pelahatchie, three daughters, Mrs. G. C. Lancaster, Mrs. Emmett Woods, both of Jackson and Mrs. Arthur Gray of Pelahatchie, one brother, Max Searcy of Puckett, one sister, Mrs. Sallie Purvis of Jackson, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be six grandsons: Guy Gray, Ernest Gray, Guy Lancaster, Jr., Grady Woods, Bil[l]y Woods, and Tommy Hodges.
