Last Will and Testament of Sedulous Lee
State of North Carolina Johnston County
I Sedulous Lee, of the aforesaid State and County, being in sound mind, but viewing the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament.
1st. My executor here in after named shall give my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends and pay all expenses together with all my just debts out of the first moneys that shall come into his hands belonging to my estate.
2nd. I give and bequeath my daughter Narcissus Denning the sum of three Dollars
3rd. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Anna M. Lee one Bed and bedstead with fixtures. to. her use if she ever regains her reason sufficiently to need them, otherwise to go to my son James Ransom Lee.
4th. I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Lee and to my son the said James Ransom Lee all other property which I may own at my death including all scraps raised during the year this instrument shall become efective House hold and Kitchen furniture, Carts, Buggies, Stock, notes and moneys and all other properties of every [name?] and description and not other wise disposed of. To be equally divided. It is my will and desire that Mary Lee my wife shall have the use of all until my son is Twenty one years old when the said James Ransom Lee is have his share, but it is my further desire that at the death of either without issue then his or her share go to the surviver [sic survivor].
5th. I hereby appoint and constitute my worthy friend W. P. Lee my lawful Executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to all intents and purposes, hereby revoking and declaring void all other wills and testaments made by me heretofore.
In witness whereof I the said Sedulous Lee do hereby set my hand and seal this the 29 of March 1910.

Signed, sealed, published, and declared by the said Sedulous Lee to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and the presence of each other do subscribe our names as witnesses there to.

IN THE MATTER OF THE WILL OF: Sedulous Lee
Before: W. S. Stevens
W. P. Lee, being duly sworn, doth say:
That Sedulous Lee, late of said County, is dead, having first made and published his last Will and Testament; and that W P Lee is the executor named therein.
Further, that the property of the said Sedulous Lee, consisting of 2 mules, 4 cattle, hogs, corn, fodder, bacon, farm tools, household & kitchen furniture is worth about $450.00, so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application, and that Mary Lee widow, Narcissus Denning, Anna M. Lee all of full age and James Ransom Lee Minor without guardian all residents of Johnston except Narcissus Denning who resides in Sampson County are the parties entitled under said will to said property.
Sworn to and subscribed before me this 21 day of May 1912.
