SENITTE A. NEWCOMB
Senitte A. Newcomb, 56, Rt. 1, Laurel, died Saturday morning at a Laurel hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Jasper County, a long time resident of Rt. 1, Laurel; member of Myrick Baptist Church, and a Mason. He was a building contractor.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, 3 p.m. at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Holder, George Hammond and Billy Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Myrick Cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. S. A. (Delina) Newcomb; two daughters: Mrs. Harlon R. (Sandra) Walters, Mrs. Roger D. (Dianne) Shepherd; one son, Kimbel S. Newcomb; four grandchildren; mother, Mrs. G. A. (Ophelia) Newcomb; one sister, Mrs. W. F. (Virginia [sic Virgie]) Norton; and one brother, G. C. (Dick) Newcomb, all of Laurel.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be L. B. Schwan, J. P. Norton, Lester Barnett, Dr. Cecil T. Williams Jr., Dr. E. J. McCraw, Lionel Saucier, Bernice Henderson, A. C. Knight, W. W. Jordan and Milton Harrison.
