Seth Lee, Jr.

Seth Lee, Jr., 82, of 2800 Abattoir Road, Coats, died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Johnston County to the late Seth Sr. and Lenora Johnson Lee.

Mr. Lee was a retired engineer with the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Coats Baptist Church, Banner Post 109 American Legion and Meridian Masonic Lodge No. 284 AF&AM in Richmond, Va., where he received his 32nd degree Masonic degree and Scottish Rite.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Coats Baptist Church by the Rev. Jesse Mooney and Albert Gregory. Burial will follow in Lee Family Cemetery in Benson.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Naomi Dixon Lee; a son, Seth T. ``Tommy'' Lee of Richmond; sisters, Mary Lee Denning of Coats and Madia Lee Dixon of Richmond; a brother, M. P. Lee of Coats; a grandson, Michael Allen of Richmond; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Allen of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
