Shelby Neal Douzart, Sr.
Funeral services for Shelby Neal Douzart, Sr. will be at 12 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Brother Kenneth Holloway and Brother Allen Hatten officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.
Mr. Douzart, 65, of Deville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2005 in Southwest Medical Center, Lafayette.
Mr. Douzart was a member of Community Baptist Church in Tioga. He was a self employed car salesman and owner/operator of Red Arrow used cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Tillman Dauzart and Josephine Simmons Stewart and his sister, Geraldine Bordelon.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Joyce Smith Douzart of Deville; his sons, Terry Dauzart of Seattle, Washington, Shelby Dauzart, Jr. of Deville, Jackie Dauzart and wife, Samantha of Deville, Danny Dauzart of Tioga, Jeremy Warthen and Brandon Warthen both of Deville; his daughters, Tina King and husband, Neil King of Turkey Creek, Melisa Triplet and husband, Gordon of Deville, Penny Adkins and husband, Keith of Pineville, Dana Dauzart of Deville, Brandi Willis and husband, Chance of Pineville and Tara Cole and husband, John of Deville; his brother, Larry Dauzart of Alexandria, his sisters, Joycee Dauzart of Deville and Shirley Poole of Pineville; twenty-eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steven Ray, Chance Willis, Gordon Triplet, Keith Adkins, Bobby Bordelon, Steve Basco, Ivey Wayne Smith and Brian Smith.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
