Shelley Loper McLemore

GILMER -- Services for Shelley Loper McLemore, 91, of Ore City will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer with the Rev. Pete Dugger officiating. Burial will be in Ore City Cemetery.

Family visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He died Jan. 11 at his residence. Mr. McLemore was born Jan. 25, 1902, in Litrow [sic Litroe], La., and had lived in Upshur County for 33 years. He married Lucille Williams on June 13, 1946, in Rockwall. Mr. McLemore was a retired iron worker and a Baptist.

Survivors include wife, Lucille; daughter, Patsy Welch of Ore City; granddaughter, Glendia Hillin; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
