SIX-YEAR-OLD TOT SLAYS HIS SICK BROTHER

Special to The Times.

Columbia, La., May 31. -- The ten-year-old son of Lee McPherson, a farmer living in Ward Eight, Caldwell parish, was killed yesterday afternoon by his six-year-old brother. The older boy had been sick for some time and was in bed while his little brother was playing with the gun when it was accidentally discharged, the bullet passing entirely through the boy's body, killing him instantly. McPherson was working in his field and Mrs. McPherson was in the garden, some distance from the house, when she heard the shot. Running into the house she found her elder son dead while the six-year-old brother was running about the room with the gun in his hand and screaming with fright.
