Shirley Mae Roberts
March 14, 1942 - August 12, 2014
Shirley Mae Roberts passed away August 12, 2014 at her home in McKinney, TX at the age of 72 after a short battle with cancer.
Shirley was born on March 14, 1942 in Plattsburgh, NY to Armand and Ella Favreau. After graduating from Beekmantown Central School, she married C.W. Roberts on November 4, 1961 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in West Chazy, NY. After working for 45 years and raising a family, she retired in 2013. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley loved family gatherings, card games, gardening, and playing the slots. She and her potato salad will truly be missed. Shirley had a smile that would light up a room and a heart to match it.
She is survived by son, Steven Michael Roberts and wife, Sherrie; daughter, Lori Ann Murphy and husband, Sean; daughter, Jill Renee Webster and husband, J.D.; two granddaughters, Fallon Caroline Roberts and Destiny Rose Murphy; her "little man" Hans; sister, Pauline Reyell and husband, Leonard; brother, Joseph Favreau, along with many other family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, C.W. Roberts; parents, Armand and Ella Favreau; brothers, Lawrence and Armand Favreau Jr.; sisters, Shirley Ann Favreau and Helen Roy.
Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6:00pm -- 9:00pm with Rosary beginning at 7:00pm in the Sparkman Funeral Home Chapel, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX 75081.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00am, in the Sparkman Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon John Schell officiating. Burial to follow at Restland Cemetery.
