Sibyl Ann Mobley
Sibyl A. Jay Mobley at peace on January 8, 2006. She was born February 17, 1917 in Panola, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie in 2004 after 64 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, R.C. & Nellie Twomey Jay; sisters, Vashtie Lawless, Mary Johnson, Jim J. Studdard, Nell Thompson, Erma Cochrane, Lena Sherman, Mildred Cochran, Robbie C. Jay; two brothers, Travis Jay and Bramelet Jay.
She is survived by one brother, Bob Jay and wife, Anne; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews, also dear friends.
She was a member of Mt. Zion UMC while living in San Antonio she attended Epworth UMC and was welcomed as a member. She was a past matron of Army Chapter #664 O.E.S, she was also a member of the TREA. She was an avid Bridge Player who enjoyed reading and all kinds of handwork.
The family would like to thank the Odyssey-Hospice nurses for their care and professionalism to Mr. & Mrs. Mobley. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew her!
