Silas A. EMMONS
Graveside services for Mr. Silas A Emmons will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005 with Reverend Eddie Douglas officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Oak Grove Baptist Church from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Interment with military honors will be in Clearwater Cemetery.
Mr. Emmons, 83, of Cheneyville passed away Monday, May 09, 2005 in the VA Medical Center.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Clearwater. During his working career he worked for Brown & Root Construction Company. Mr. Emmons was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Johnson Emmons; brothers, William Henry and Grover Preston Emmons.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Bill Emmons and his wife, Kendra of Clearwater; grandchildren, Amy Vanlangendonck, Brooke Roberts and Billie Jo Redmon; great-grandson, Micheal Luke Vanlangendonck.
