Sonya Jackson Braswell
NATCHEZ -- Services for Sonya Jackson Braswell, 61, of Natchez, who died December 19, 2012 at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 1 P. M. Saturday December 22, 2012 at Stanton Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Purvis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 12 Noon Saturday until service time at the church.
Mrs. Braswell was born May 1, 1951 in Natchez the daughter of James Howard Jackson and Earline Pennington Jackson. She was a member of Stanton Baptist Church. Mrs. Braswell was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jimmy Jackson; and one sister, Alice Wiggins.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Braswell of Natchez; two daughters, Tonya Sloan and her husband, Steve of Vidalia and Shannon Wilson and her husband, Purvis. six grandchildren; one sister, Rhonda Kemp of Vicksburg; cousin, Hoppy Swaggart; special friends, Florence Felter, Robert Atwood, Frank and Nell Lee.
Pallbearers will be, Purvis Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, Ethan Melton, Steve Sloan, Robert Atwood and Hoppy Swaggart.
Honorary pallbearer will be, Yerby Braswell.
