Stanley H. Hathorn, 68, died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Hathorn was an attorney and cattle farmer, and had also served as football coach, teacher, and banker. He was a graduate of Louisville High School, Delta State University, and received his law degree from Ole Miss. He had served as president and Chairman of the Board of Citizens Bank & Trust Co., was attorney for the Winston County Board of Supervisors and the Louisville Utility Board. He was a member and board president of the Mississippi Polled Hereford Association.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Department 5 Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia B. Hathorn; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Boyd Allen of Noxapater; one son and daughter-in-law, Stan & Chasidy Hathorn of Louisville, one sister, Janice Hunter of Louisville, one brother, Jimmy Hathorn of Louisville, and three grandchildren, Abby Hathorn, Sam Allen, and Max Allen.
