Mrs. Stella Gleason
Funeral Services Conducted Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Aline Gleason, 79, were held Monday in the chapel of Green-Kleinegger funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. N.C. Joyner conducting the rites. Rev. Akin of Sibley assisted.

Mrs. Gleason was the widow of the late M.D. Gleason, who was a prominent merchant and planter in Webster parish during his lifetime. She died in the Minden sanitarium after an extended illness.

She was an active member of the Minden First Methodist church, Sunday school, Woman's Missionary society, and Eastern Star.

Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery.

Pallbearers were her six grandsons, Ray Gleason and B.D. Gleason, Jr., of Baton Rouge, David Gleason of Shreveport, Glen Jarnigen, Durelle Jarnigan and Vergil Jarnigan, all of Greenville, Mississippi.

Mrs. Gleason is survived by two sons, B.D. Gleason, Sr., of Minden and Vivian Gleason of Springhill; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Flavia Mims of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Henry Jarnigan of Greenville, Mississippi; eight grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
