Stephen W. Taylor

Services were held March 18 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Stephen Worth Taylor of 516 Fondren Pl. The Revs. Clifton Whitlock and James Milner officiated.

Taylor, 74, died March 16 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.

A native of Gloster, he had been a resident of Jackson for 46 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Boling Street United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Official Board and a Trustee.

He retired in 1979 from Complex Construction Company where he was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was the Worshipful Master of the North Jackson Lodge No. 620, F & M and a member of the York Rite bodies.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Yeates Taylor of Jackson; daughter, Anna Lee Taylor of Jackson; brother, Burney Taylor of Meadville; sister, Rita Toney of Magnolia.

Memorials may be made to Boling Street United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were Lee Holleman, Bob Gorman, Lelon Steed, Alva H. Rutledge, Gary W. Layman and Terry L. Mayfield.

Burial was in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
