Sterlen S. Sleeth Sr.

ARLINGTON - Sterlen Scott Sleeth Sr. of Arlington, a former Bell Helicopter employee, died Tuesday at an Arlington hospital. He was 84.

Memorial service under the auspices of Arlington Moose Lodge 1932 will be at 8 tonight at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield.

Inurnment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Mausoleum in Fort Worth.

Mr. Sleeth was born in Dixon, Mo. He served in the Navy before World War II and moved to Arlington in 1942. He was owner and operator of the Branding Iron Grill from 1944 until about 1950.

In 1965, Mr. Sleeth moved to Arkansas and in 1978 to McAllen, where he was a member of the parks and recreation board.

He also was a member of First Lutheran Church of McAllen.

Mr. Sleeth returned to Arlington last year. He was a member of Arlington Moose Lodge 1932.

Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Ann Sleeth of Arlington; son, Sterlen S. Sleeth Jr. of Edinburg; two daughters, Juanita Settle of La Mesa, Calif., and Myrlen Roberts of Arlington; sister, Myrtle Thompson of Tishomingo, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
